We are living in a new age of risk and uncertainty. Never before has the prospect of an uncertain and dangerous future so governed our lives or so politicised the dangers we face. The geopoliticisation of risk intensifies the role of uncertainty and alters the relationship between power and knowledge at the heart of social life.
