The ENS-AXA Research Chair in the Geopolitics of Risk is a 10-year research programme (2015-2025) that seeks to join a range of disciplinary approach to the politics of uncertainty in the global age. It unifies research in political science, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and law in order to re-visit the challenge of finding security in an age of the politics of uncertainty.
The Chair is hosted by the Department of Geography and Territories of the Ecole Normale Supérieure.
The Ecole Normale Supérieure is a public institution with a scientific, cultural and professional orientation, directly dependent upon the Ministry of Research and Higher Education. The Director of the ENS is nominated by the President of the Republic. Since its foundation, the ENS has continued its fundamental mission of training its students to fulfil the role of leaders capable of bringing their creative vision and innovative solutions to bear on the increasingly complex and global issues of today's world
