Dakota is an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University, teaching classes on AI, society, and governance. She was a postdoctoral researcher from 2023-2025 at Université Grenoble Alpes, where her work focused on AI ethics and sustainable technological innovation. She completed her PhD at ENS in 2022, where her dissertation used postphenomenological methods to analyze how virtual reality environments and AI systems transform human experience and perception. Dakota holds an MSc from Hamburg University and a BA from Harvard University. Her current research interests include sustainable innovation and AI value alignment, and she is developing a responsible innovation framework for AI scheming.
