The SOURCE knowledge sharing methodology workshop has started off the New Year for the Chair of Geopolitics of Risk. The two-day workshop, hosted by The Hague Security Delta, focused on migration crisis management. The goal was to address communication challenges during a crisis between various stakeholders.
The twelve participants of the workshop are serving members of the EU countries' government, law enforcement and border control agencies, as well as railway transportation systems, and Red Cross branches. The emphasis of the program was on two crisis simulation exercises designed to improve decision-making and management tactics in emergencies. The workshop concluded with a presentation of "The Core", an EU-funded security project, which aims to establish global trade links through development of trusted supply chains and corresponding control and supervision models.
The event was organized within the framework of the European FP7 project SOURCE.
